LED Light

LED Light

  • A key component of machine vision systems
  • Responsible for hardware-based image implementation for vision inspection processing
  • Lighting solutions highlight specific features of an object, increasing independent contrast levels, which enhances the effectiveness of vision inspections
  • A critical element that can significantly impact the efficiency and accuracy of vision system programming

Features of LED Light

Advantages of LED Lighting

1. Fast Responsiveness

LEDs can achieve maximum brightness within 10µsec, enabling synchronization with cameras through strobe controllers and similar devices

2. Low Power Consumption

LED lighting significantly reduces power usage, consuming up to 10 times less energy than conventional lighting, resulting in substantial cost savings

3. Ease of Color Selection

LED lighting allows for the selection of various wavelength colors, enabling easy customization to match the object and optimize inspection and measurement environments

4. Lighting Customization

LED lighting emits light directly from its components, enabling the design and production of various shapes. This allows the selection of optimal illumination angles for inspection and measurement environments, ensuring the best lighting solution

5. Long Lifespan (Approximately 20,000h)

Unlike conventional lighting that requires monthly lamp replacements, LED lighting can operate for approximately 10,000 to 30,000 hours, reducing maintenance costs and increasing convenience

LED Light

Kind of LED Light

Direct Light

This lighting is useful when a distinct shadow is needed to create high contrast, as it directly illuminates the object. However, it may not be suitable for objects with high reflectivity.

Low Angle Light

This lighting is installed at a low angle, where light reflects off surface protrusions, darkening the background while highlighting edges, foreign objects, scratches, and other features brightly.

Back Light

This lighting emits from behind the object, making the background bright and the object dark. It is commonly used for shape measurement and mark recognition of translucent objects.

Diffuser Light

This lighting is used to diffuse light, creating soft images without shadows. It is ideal for objects with high reflectivity, such as glass. After applying dome lighting, it evenly illuminates the curved surfaces of the product, enabling the capture of inspection-friendly images.

Coaxial Light

This lighting uses a half mirror inside to emit light at the same angle as the camera’s field of view. It is suitable for inspecting products with high reflectivity, such as glass, and for situations where external light causes shadows in the inspection area.
