TDI Multi Strobing
TDI Line Scan Multi Strobing Application
A TDI (Time Delay and Integration) camera operates on the principle of capturing images multiple times and stacking the acquired images to produce a clearer and sharper result.
Images are captured according to the number of TDI stages. As each line image shifts by one pixel within the sensor, the image from the previous line is repeatedly accumulated. This process effectively increases the overall exposure time, resulting in bright, high-quality images with enhanced clarity.
The TDI Line Scan Multi Strobing Application is an application that implements two distinct lighting effects using a TDI camera.
By combining the ALT-TDS-100, ALT-LSTP600E, and a dual TDI line-scan camera, this application simultaneously realizes both Bright Field and Dark Field lighting effects at a line rate of 150 kHz (150,000 lines per second).
As a result, in ultra-high-speed inspection environments, two different effect images can be generated using a single camera, enabling significant cost reduction and improved productivity.
■ ALT-LSTP600E (Line Scan Constant Current Strobe Power Controller)
■ ALT-TDS-100 (Trigger Distributor)
Strengths of the Product

ALT UI Program
UI Program
The TDI Line Scan Multi Strobing Application dedicated UI program allows users to view the results of three displayed images, which are described as follows:
First Image: The raw image, which represents the combined result of the second and third images.
Second Image: The Bright Field image result, extracted from the even lines of the raw image.
Third Image: The Dark Field image result, extracted from the odd lines of the raw image.
By utilizing the effects of two different illuminations — Bright Field and Dark Field — this system enables the acquisition of two distinct image results from a single capture.
